SOPHIE GODDARD
Founder and CEO
During my previous career in hotels and the wedding industry, I worked my way up the ladder from Waitress to Sales Manager leading teams and dealing with finances and owner targets! Hungry for success, I quickly realised that it didn't matter how far up the ladder I got, rising inflation rates & salaries that didn't keep up would mean I would never reach my financial goals. That's when I discovered the lucrative world of UK property investment!
In 2023 I took the leap and invested in my education and surrounded myself with some of the top experts in the industry. I quickly saw first-hand how this industry could help me achieve financial freedom and stability and that I could help others achieve the same. I am now part of a network who are doing over £80million pounds worth of property deals.
My current role at Goddard Property Solutions is to onboard new investors and help them achieve their goals through effective property investments that are right for them.
Let me tell you, the meticulous attention to detail needed in weddings is certainly applicable to property deals - no stone is left unturned!
I love travelling, live music and spending time with my friends and family. When I was 17 travelled around Namibia, Africa, for a month and helped build a school and teach English to children. My aim once I am financially free is to do more of this much needed work around the world.
JAMES GODDARD
Property Expert
After pursuing a successful career as a chef, and working my way up from kitchen porter (washing up!) to Executive Head Chef leading a team of 24 and catering for royal events at Leeds Castle, my journey came to an abrupt redirection during the pandemic following redundancy.
This gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate my path and I took a sharp change to become a carpenter!
Working one-to-one with a member of the Federation of Master Builders for the first two years accelerated my skills and knowledge ten fold. Our main projects included building extensions and internal renovations on residential properties.
Following that, I have expanded into commercial construction with Coleman & James (Civil engineering & building contractors). Working alongside all different types of trades and closely with a leading site manager to bring a project together really opened my eyes to the best way to organise and coordinate in this industry.
With all of this experience, I found my innate skill and true passion lies within my ability to be creative with property design and layout to ensure the safest and most profitable outcome.
In 2023, I invested further into my property education and am now a property sourcing expert for investors and I manage refurbishment projects.
In the little spare time I have, I love spending time with my son, travelling and live music. Fun fact about me - I was born with a third tooth behind my front teeth which only about 1% of the population has! Also known as a Vampire's tooth. (It has been removed now).
